My Name is Lauren Edinger. I was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania.
I have always had a love for food, not just eating it, but cooking it and coming up
with my own recipes. I remember someone asking me at the age of eight what I
wanted to be when I grew up. Now most little girls at this age still want to be a
rock-star, astronaut, or certified princess, but not I. I had already decided that I
wanted to be a Chef. In high-school I signed up for every HOME-EC class that was
available. My junior year I took the option to go to the Butler County Area Vocational
Technical School part of the day. This not only gave me experience, but I also met
my wonderful boyfriend Gary. I graduated from the Vo-Tech in 2001 with the honor of
"Student of the Year."
I started working at The Butler Country Club at the age of 16. I worked my way
through all the stations there and before leaving for Culinary School. On breaks
from Culinary School I returned to my position at the Country Club.
I graduated from Johnson and Wales University, Norfolk VA campus in 2003. While in
school I worked at The Cobalt Grille in VA Beach. After Graduating School I worked
at Grand Harbor Golf and Beach Club in Vero Beach, FL. Upon completing my time
there I returned back to Butler and started working at the Hardwood Cafe in Butler
as the Kitchen Manager. After recognizing a desire to work for myself I decided to
become a Personal Chef.
I completed the Culinary Business Academy program and started my Personal Chef
Service February of 2005. I am also ServSafe Certified by the NRA (National
Restaurant Association).
I currently reside in Butler with my partner Gary and our daughter Isabella.
